Hello,
This one is special. It’s a first. I’m surely nervous, but I’m also extremely grateful that you chose to sign up for this. I hope it keeps adding some value in your life and that my own journey of conscious growth with mental & physical health along with some great conversations with people from around the world inspire action in you.
Let’s go!
Learning & Questions for the week:
So Good They Can’t Ignore You - Cal Newport
We live in a world today that seems to be chasing an idealistic version of what "The Passion Mindset" should look like when it comes to personal & professional growth. It has become the easiest advice to give. So this book is a necessary eye-opener.
Click here for my thoughts on the book and some of the highlights for me.
There were 3 important questions that popped up in my head while reading this. DM your answers to me on Twitter, IG or leave a comment from the button below:
1) If you were to be given millions of dollars to be the best version of yourself, what would you do in return to earn this money?
2) Is there anything in your life where you feel like you have hit a plateau?
How can you stretch your ability there?
3) What's that one thing you have been telling yourself you will start soon?
What stops you?

Mental Wellbeing tip for the week:
I started thinking if I’m applying the same to myself.
Tip: Start observing what conversations you have with yourself. Be more mindful how you treat yourself and what you say about yourself.
A co-worker of mine hosted a mindfulness meditation activity on one of our weekly team calls this week and it was wonderful. Here is an amazing app that you can check out to learn more about mindfulness when in distress.
“Will the world ever get better?”
Linda, a friend from China texted me this. She was overwhelmed with everything that’s happening around us. So I got on a call with her.
This conversation was important especially with the context of conflict between both our countries.
We talked about what Chinese people think about Indians and our border conflicts in the last couple of months, her fears & hopes for the world, Indian food, and to conclude, I asked her the same question:
Do you think the world will ever get better?
Things always seem worse before becoming good.
Eventually love, peace and kindness will make its way back.

I’m thinking of recording future calls I have and eventually making a podcast! What do you think? DM me on Twitter or IG and let me know!
Convincing your brain to push your body is where you win the real battle!
Let me take this space to say STOP judging yourself if you aren’t actively engaged in a physical routine or a “diet”. You do you!
PS.: My updates here aren’t going to be polished to look perfect. You will see me fail! I hope you stick by nevertheless.
My learning for the week:
Your body is capable of surprising you & pushing its limits!
I’m currently following the Lean Fit plan on the Nike Training app. Best thing about it? It is completely free!
In 11 days, my benchmark time for a routine went down (-31%) from 16:51 mins to 11:23 mins. I’m still 3 mins slower than avg. speed of people my age. This is surely far less than what some amazing people out there are doing. By next Sunday, I aim to be down to at least 9:30 mins.
What are you doing to keep physically healthy?

Snippets from my personal thought journal
If I ever had the chance to travel back in time, I’d give my younger self a lot more freedom to make mistakes and to ask for help, than the pressure of always figuring things out myself.
One of my biggest weakness is that I struggle when it comes to asking people for help. It scares me and makes me question/doubt my own ability to do anything. I've found myself in situations where I completely freeze, I have no clue how to move ahead, and I still wouldn't know how to ask for help. I failed in high school, I failed in college, I failed at my work at times and I was ashamed of asking anyone to help me.
Something as simple as asking for help should not have to be a courageous/brave act.
Can I help add value to you in any way? DM me on Twitter or IG!
